Assam Special Educator Recruitment 2025 : The Directorate of Elementary Education (DEE), Assam has released two major recruitment notifications for the appointment of Special Educators in Lower Primary (LP) and Upper Primary (UP) Schools. This initiative has been taken in compliance with the Right to Education Act, 2009 and the Hon’ble Supreme Court Judgement dated 18.10.2021 and 21.07.2022.
Eligible Indian citizens who are permanent residents of Assam and qualified in Assam Teacher Eligibility Test (ATET) or Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) can apply online for a total of 228 vacancies.
This recruitment is a great opportunity for candidates specialized in Special Education, recognized by the Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI), to contribute to strengthening inclusive education in Assam.

A) Vacancies: 120
B) Qualification: Senior Secondary (or equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 2-year Diploma in Special Education recognized by RCI. Candidates with Graduation + 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (Special Education) are also eligible.
C) Must have ATET/CTET LP certificate.
Special Educator in Upper Primary (UP) Schools
A) Vacancies: 108
B) Qualification: Graduation with at least 50% marks and B.Ed. (Special Education) recognized by RCI.
C) Must have ATET/CTET UP certificate.
