Assam VFA Admission 2025
In pursuance of the approval of the Government of Assam (Letter No. E-613214/18, dated 31/05/2025),
online applications are invited from eligible and permanent residents of Assam for admission into the One-Year VFA (Veterinary Field Assistant) Training Course in Elementary Knowledge of Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Science for the session 2024–2025
The training will be conducted at the School of Veterinary Science & A.H., Ghungoor, Silchar, and its extended campuses.

How to Apply
- Candidates who have the required essential qualification for the proposed training course
as mentioned above may apply by submitting online application through the official website
(ahvfa.assam.gov.in) The link will be available from 12.00 hrs. of 14th June, 2025
to 23.59 hrs of 13th July, 2025.The prescribed Online application shall have to be duly
filled up and submitted online along with scanned copy of documents listed at Serial No.

Selection Procedure
As per the approval of the Government of Assam, the authorities follow the procedure below for selecting candidates for admission into the one-year VFA Training Course.
(i) After thoroughly scrutinizing the applications, the authorities call eligible candidates for the Personnel Assessment Test (PAT) of 100 marks as shown below.
(a) Percentage of marks in HSSLC Sc with Biology – 40% weightage
(b) Percentage of marks in HSLC – 20% weightage
(c) Personnel Assessment Test (PAT) – 40% weightage
(ii) The Selection Board asks questions on Biology, Physics, Chemistry, and General Awareness related to state and national importance. Each member of the board (2–3 members on a rotational basis) asks five questions daily, and each question carries 4 marks.
(iv) The authorities prepare the final merit list based on the total marks obtained (a+b+c) while following the reservation policy.

Go to the official website of the Directorate of Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Department, Assam –

🔹 Step 2: Find the Admit Card Link
On the homepage, look for a link that says:
“Download VFA Training Course Admit Card 2025” or “VFA Entrance Exam Admit Card”
Click on the link.
🔹 Step 3: Enter Your Credentials
Enter the required details such as:
- Application ID / Registration Number
- Date of Birth (DOB)
Then click on the Submit or Download button.
🔹 Step 4: Download and Print
Once your admit card is displayed, download the PDF file and take at least 2 printouts for exam use.
