Eligibility Criteria
- Master’s degree in the relevant or allied subject with minimum 55% marks or equivalent grade.
- 5% relaxation for SC/ST/OBC/Differently-abled candidates (≥ 40% disability) as per UGC norms.
Ph.D. Admission Procedure
Stage 1: BU-PET (Bhattadev University PhD Entrance Test)
- Mode: Offline
- Syllabus:
- 50% General Aptitude
- 50% Subject-Specific
Stage 2: Personal Interview
- Only candidates qualifying BU-PET will be called.
- Final selection will be based on interview performance.
Exemption from BU-PET:
- Candidates who have cleared NET/SLET (on or after 01 July 2024) are exempted from BU-PET but must appear for the interview.
Documents Required at Interview
- Printout of the Application Form
- Original Marksheets & Pass Certificates (HSLC to Master’s)
- Caste Certificate (if applicable)
- UGC-NET/SLET Scorecard (if applicable)
- BU-PET 2025 Scorecard
- No Objection Certificate (if employed)
Personal Interview Important Notes:
- State reservation policy will be strictly followed.
- Department-wise intake capacity will be notified later.
- Final list of selected candidates will be published on the university website.
- Admission-related communication will be sent via email.
A) Candidates are asked to report in the respective department at 10.00 A.M. on the day of the Personal Interview.
B) Candidates are required to bring the Filled in Hard copies of the Application form (available on our website) along with the prescribed application fee receipt, photocopies of all relevant documents, including Proof of Date of Birth, 10th, 12th, UG and PG Marksheet/Pass Certificates, Caste Certificate, NET/SLET/GATE certificates (or proofs of NET/SLET/GATE clearance) etc.
C) A short research proposal is also required at the time Personal Interview.
D) All admissions are strictly provisional. The University reserves the right to modify or cancel the above provisional list or any name of candidates appearing in
the aforementioned list.
