CBI Assam Recruitment 2025 – Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification
- For Peon and Chowkidar:
Candidates must have passed Class VIII (8th Standard).
Note: Candidates who have passed HSSLC (Class 12) or higher qualifications are not eligible to apply.
Age Limit (as on 01.11.2025)
- Minimum Age: 18 years
- Maximum Age: As per Government of Assam norms.
Age relaxation will be applicable for reserved category candidates as per official guidelines.
Selection Process
The selection will be based on an Interview/Viva Voce (50 marks for each member).

How to Apply for CBI Assam Recruitment 2025
- Fill the Standard Form (as published in Part IX of the Assam Gazette).
- Attach self-attested copies of all relevant documents such as educational qualification, age proof, caste certificate, and experience (if any).
- Paste one passport-size photograph on the application and attach two additional recent photographs.
- Write clearly on the envelope:
“Application for the post of Peon” or “Application for the post of Chowkidar”. - Submit the application either by post or by hand at the following address: Office of the Special Judge, CBI, Assam,
Guwahati at Chandmari, Guwahati-781003
(Near Chandmari Police Station) - Applications must reach the office on or before 1st November 2025 (5 PM).
Important Instructions
- Candidates working in Government/PSU must submit a No Objection Certificate (NOC).
- Applicants must include a valid mobile number in the application form.
- Any false information will lead to cancellation of candidature and may invite criminal prosecution.
- The authority reserves the right to cancel or modify the advertisement without prior notice.
