CGST Guwahati Recruitment 2025 Eligibility Criteria
Age Limit (as on 13.09.2025)
- 18 to 27 years
- Age relaxation:
- SC/ST – 5 years
- OBC – 3 years
Educational Qualification
For Tax Assistant:
- Degree from a recognized university or equivalent.
- Basic knowledge of computer applications.
- Data entry speed of 8000 key depressions per hour.
For Havaldar:
- Matriculation or equivalent from a recognized board.
- Candidates must meet prescribed physical standards and qualify the physical test.
Physical Standards & Test
For Male Candidates (Havaldar):
- Height: 157.5 cm (relaxable for certain categories)
- Chest: 81 cm (with 5 cm expansion)
- Physical Test: Walk 1600 meters in 15 minutes
For Female Candidates (Havaldar):
- Height: 152 cm (relaxable for some categories)
- Weight: 48 kg (relaxable up to 2.5 cm/2 kg)
- Physical Test: Walk 1 km in 20 minutes
Sports Eligibility
Candidates must have represented:
- The country in International Competition OR
- A State/UT in National Competitions OR
- Their University in Inter-University tournaments OR
- A School in National Games for Schools OR
- Competed in Khelo India / Para Games.

Selection Process

Salary Details
- Tax Assistant: Level-4 (₹25,500 – ₹81,100) + allowances
- Havaldar: Level-1 (₹18,000 – ₹56,900) + allowances
