To be eligible for Gauhati High Court Grade-I AJS recruitment 2025, candidates must fulfill the following conditions:

- Must hold a Degree in Law from a recognized University.
- Must be a practicing Advocate in Civil & Criminal Courts with at least 7 years of continuous practice as on the last date of application.

- Unreserved: 35 to 45 years

Gauhati High Court Recruitment AJS Selection Process
The recruitment process will consist of the following stages:
1. Preliminary Examination (Screening Test):
- 100 marks (Objective type, OMR based)
- Duration: 2 hours
- Subjects: General Knowledge, Aptitude, English, Constitution, Civil & Criminal Procedure Codes, IPC, Evidence Act, Contract Act, Family Law, Labour Law, Land Laws, etc.
- Minimum 60% marks required to qualify for the Main Exam.
2. Main (Written) Examination:
- Four descriptive papers:
- Paper I: General Knowledge, Essay, Aptitude (100 marks)
- Paper II: Law Subjects (100 marks)
- Paper III: Judgment Writing, Jurisprudence & Constitution (100 marks)
- Paper IV: Assamese Language Proficiency (50 marks, qualifying in nature)

3 . Interview / Viva Voce:
